not sure if she was an Apostate or just had mental issues, but when I was a kid there was a lady who tried to attack the speaker with a knife, it was a thursday night at kingdumb hall. It wasn't scary or anything but it woke me up.

a while back on here i heard of some guy that was hugely pissed about the 1975 fiasco.
he dressed up in one of those ancient drama outfits and stormed the stage at a convention screaming, " i'm the faithful and discreet slave!!!!".

Catholics on Big Love
by undercover inandre's thread on jws vs catholics reminded me for some reason of last night's episode of big love.. did anyone else relate to nikki's response to her son playing with a cross?
it was as if she was possessed by a jw demon or sumthin.
and her whole attitude toward the catholic faith reminded me of how jws react.

Undercover, I had LDS friends when I was in High school, they are a bit crazy when it comes to the cross and catholic stuff, at least the people I knew. I would like to add something about the icons and idols that is so much talked about when it comes to people who know nothing of the catholic church, One thing you have to think about when you walk into a catholic church, its like walking back in history, go back in time say 300 years ago, now how many people do you think were able to read? well the church had to find a way to tell stories from the bible, this is why you see such visual stories from the bible in statues, paintings, glass and all art, they had to find ways to teach people and that tradition just stuck with the church, as they are very slow to change.

JW's vs Catholics

i am not trying to change or challenge anyones beliefs, but i started thinking about this after watching last nights episode of big love, one of the wives on that show allows her son to attend a catholic school, but then starts talking about how crucifixes are demonic and how the church is full of evil, it reminded me of the way jws talk about the catholic church.
a while back i dated a girl who used to be a member of the world wide church of god or international church of christ, i forget the name exactly but they hated the catholic church too, a lot of the way they kept track of their members was very much like jws.

Anyway my point is, if you say Baptist, Protestant or Jewish, you don’t get much of a reaction but you say Catholic, and right away there is a loathing and they try to turn a religion into a demonic worship. Its so sad that some learned behavior is held on to by members and former members of religions who only have fear of the Catholic church so they feel a need to demonize a religion just because they can not trace their own history back as far, Mormons, JW’s, International church of God, etc.. They all only go back a very short time in history, yet each claim to be the true religion and true followers of Christ, when in fact most are formed from break away sects of previous religions who broke away from GUESS WHO the Catholic Church. I have 2 questions; If you have strong feelings against the Catholic Church, is it from personal experience or learned behavior from your old JW days? And have you ever attended or learned anything on your own about Catholics or just go on what you were told by those wonderful elders?

by minimus inby "discipline" i mean, either private, public reproof, disfellowshipping or something that got you in enough trouble that you had to be counseled by the loving shepherds and it cost you something by not having "privileges".

It was announced that I was bad association for the youth in the hall, I was 14 at the time, and boy I had a bad rep already but everyone avoided me like if I had 666 on my forehead, it didn't bother me I hated all the Dub youth and never really talked to anyone anyway! but my dad beat the shit out of me for it.

How to get the News out to Witnesses About their Child Molestation Coverup?

as you know i talked with an elder and his wife who came to my door for 30 minutes about it.
also mrs. flipper and i have left upwards of 200 news release fliers on witness cars parked at kingdom halls.
